The Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet was introduced for the 2004 model year, ending a long wait for Porsche to re-introduce a mass market Turbo Cabriolet, last seen since the 930 was produced in the late 80s. This introduction marked the first time a water-cooled cabriolet with increased turbo charged performance left the production line., Boasting modern day performance figures, the 996 Turbo earnt many acclaims from those who perhaps were hesitant that Porsche had made the big switch from air cooled to water cooled.
