TVR has its roots in Blackpool, and the British carmaker has a decent range of high performance sportscars to its name. TVR’s best-selling model is the Chimaera, which – amusingly – is seen as the ‘practical’ car in the TVR lineup. But this two door convertible V8-engined machine isn’t one for driving around town. With no modern driver assistance features like ABS or traction control, the Chimaera, like all TVRs, is a driver’s car which takes real skill to handle well. Other models include the well-built Griffith, which was unveiled in 1990 and retains its status as an iconic British sportscar.
